How To Make It
I create recipes for life! But, how is it that I do what I do? It's not rocket science! I don't know about you, but who wants to slave over a stove or be in the kitchen for hours? I sure don't. After all, we live in San Diego so it's great that we can enjoy our beautiful weather every day. When I cook, it is usually not some long, laborious process. The recipes you see are simple and fun, yet creative. Feel free to manipulate them to your liking, as I'd like to hear how you've twisted them for perhaps an even new presentation.
Fresh, quality ingredients are another aspect of my dishes that is a must. I love when colors "pop" on the plate, which to me, makes the food come alive. Expand your horizons and shop at the local Farmer's markets or specialty shops that may be right around the corner. Do a little research and see what is in your backyard. You may be surprised. I always find a new product to try as I peruse the aisles at the store or at the market.
Most of all, use what you already know about your food and ingredients. I like to cook classic dishes my mom and grandmother used to prepare. You almost can't mess up traditional cooking, but putting a different spin on it can pay off too. Enjoy what you are cooking as I do in my recipes. Enjoy the time spent cooking your recipes-this is half the fun, apart from the food itself.
